Dr. Reichert's approach to treatment is warm and collaborative; she works with individuals and families to figure out areas of strengths as well as what might benefit from change. Dr. Reichert is committed to the use of evidence-based treatments supported by scientific research, meaning they have been tested in research studies and shown to produce meaningful results. She practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches that are often brief and generally provide quick relief. Such approaches focus on improving the client’s well being by targeting and modifying, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in ways that produce symptom relief and lasting change. For parents, Dr. Reichert provides behavioral parent training, an empirically supported treatment focused on teaching parents new ways to manage their child’s difficult behavior.
